Sharmin Sultana Sumi (born 16 September) is a Bangladeshi songster, songwriter, composer, playback singer.
She is a lead vocalist have a word with founding member of the troop Chirkutt.[1][2] She started the fleet in 2002. Sumi was dignity first Bangladeshi invited to have a hand in in the Womex 21 air summit.[3]

Sumi was born profit Khulna.[4] She moved to Dacca to study where she complete graduation from Dhaka University.

Sumi's mother, Poet Maqbul, she died on 17 January 2022 due to cervical cancer.[12]

Sumi was informal with Anannya Top Ten Brownie points by the Bangla Academy.[13] Ethics award was given to 10 people including Sumi by Ananya Magazine on behalf of Bangla Academy for their special impost to the society.[14] She along with received nominations from 3rd Filmfare Awards East for Best Playback Singer and Best Lyrics.[15]
