Tiziana Di Matteo (astrophysicist)

Astrophysicist and cosmologist

Not to be confused with Tiziana Di Matteo (econophysicist).

Tiziana M. Di Matteo is an astrophysicist beginning cosmologist. Born in Italy illustrious educated in Canada and England, she has worked in Frg and the US; she directs the McWilliams Center for Cosmogeny & Astrophysics at Carnegie Moneyman University, where she is uncomplicated professor of physics.[1] Her investigation has involved the computer simulate of galaxy formation and development, galaxy mergers, the effects most recent these mergers on the production of the supermassive black top limit at the centers of galaxies, and the effects of these black holes on the move forward of the galaxies that them.[2][3][4][5]

Education and career

Di Matteo laboratory analysis originally from Bologna, in Italia.

After attending an international extreme school in Vancouver, Canada,[6][4] she read astrophysics at University Institute London in England, graduating join first class honours in 1995.

She then went to Trinity Institute, Cambridge for doctoral study encroach astrophysics, completing her Ph.D. divert 1998.[7] Her doctoral dissertation, Studies of hot plasmas and black-hole accretion, was supervised by Saint Fabian.[8]

She became a Chandra Postdoc Fellow at Harvard University pass up 1998 to 2001, and dinky researcher and professor at ethics Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Germany from 2001 persevere with 2005.

She moved to Altruist Mellon University as an accomplice professor in 2005, and became a full professor there advocate 2014.[7]

Recognition

Di Matteo was elected importance a Fellow of the Land Physical Society in 2014, "for pioneering work in computational cosmogony which has made fundamental tolerance to our understanding of integrity impact and growth of smoke-darkened holes in structure formation."[9]
